Valentine’s Day is not usually a big holiday around here, but I think it is fun to dedicate the day to love others well. Our past Valentine’s Days have not been super memorable, but we started a tradition this year that I think may stick. Once upon a time, I have gone crazy with heart shaped everything, but this year, that wasn’t going to happen. Work has been legit nutso, and last week was no exception. Our original plans fell through, and we decided to do something that may not feel so Valentine’s-y: Have a dinner date at McDonald’s. We have never gone to eat-in at a McDonald’s, and we do not share the same disdain as others for the fast food chain. I secretly really like it, but I rarely eat there. I grew up on chicken Mcnuggets with sweet and sour sauce and sausage burritos. Luckily, with breakfast all day, we were able to get one of everything. Yung and I decided on no gifts for one another, but we exchanged cards. Of course, being the graphic designer (one of his MANY creative talents) that he is, his original card blew my lame-o card out of the water!
