2017 was somewhat of a blur. The blog kind of died a little bit, but I am planning to revive it strong in 2018! I have many catch up posts for trips and wedding (yes, still gotta finish that up) and life things that I want to update ya’ll on, so all of that will be coming soon! Without further ado, I give you…2017!
January: During the first month of 2017, I killed it at work (without meaning to! Hit a major goal!) and tried to “eat healthy” and restart exercising after the wedding.
February: More goals to start triathlon training and took my mentee to a Pine Cove Retreat! Went to Lake Charles for a quick visit.
March: We officially moved to my condo that I had been living in for 7 years. We are STILL to this day trying to make a home for everything. BIG goals for that this year, including a blog home tour! Yung and I took a major road trip West! We hit places like Guadalupe Peak and Marfa. More details in future posts to come.
April: We joined a new gym after breaking up with my EIGHT year relationship with 24 Hour Fitness. I started triathlon training for real, and we retreated to Oklahoma to see Broken Bow and the Pioneer Woman Mercantile.
May: This month was filled with fun travels to New York City and New Orleans. It was one of my favorite months of the year. I got to see one of my best friends, Nicole, and my brother Aaron.
June: This is the time of the year when I look at myself and ask, “where has the time gone?” One month until my triathlon. I somehow kept up with running while we took a vacation with friends to Washington State. I have put off writing about this trip, but I’m excited to share photos and stories soon.
July: Triathlon month! Read about that here.
August: Lots of work and lots of catching up before getting ready for a busy fall season.
September: We attended a wedding, I guest lectured at my grad school, and we went on a cruise (I want to go back!!). I also turned 31!
October: Fall is upon us! Yung turned 32! I had a bunch of work events and conferences, Baylor homecoming, and Aaron came to stay with us for the semester!
November + December: Towards the beginning of the month, I went to my 3rd Pioneer Woman book signing and also met her husband! The rest of our holiday season was spent both in Dallas and in Lake Charles. We spent time with my brother before he had to go home and ya’ll, literally every night was a celebration and we had so much good food. We rang in the New Year back home in Texas!
